 MUSEUM CHRISTMAS PARADE OF TREES

For all who participated in the Parade of Trees, thank you. Every year I think, this is the best, but each year they are more imaginable and more beautiful than the last.

Our winner for both the voting and the judging of the trees this year went to the 20th Century Club. Congratulation!!!!!!

We had a record number of votes this year, so every tree ranked high in votes, and the judging was really hard, so much so that we added a fourth judge instead of the usual three. They were all so good!!

And for all of our volunteers who work so hard to make the Museum shine and become a magical place each year, thank you. We couldn't do it without you.

Also a special thanks to the Woman’s Club of Weiss Lake for their window exhibit. They did a fantastic job.

SEPTEMBER CRAFT

I hope everyone had a great summer, but now it is time to turn our thoughts to the beginning of the ber months, September, October, November and December. Along with the ber comes a definite brrr, a chill in the air that leaves us hunting another layer to keep us warm.

So, for our craft this month we are making a no sew cozy fleece scarf. Scarfs not only keep us warmer, but also add a little color to the wardrobe. Speaking of color, we will try to line up some colors to match the football season, Alabama & Auburn, or a neutral or two.

Come join us Wednesday September 11th 1:00/3:00. There is a $20 charge for supplies. Hope to see you then.
